Sicily: Is it hot or warm?

Watch this video from Robert Dennis, founder of BigBusinessEnglish.com, made in Sicily, where the temperature is around 28° C. For British people that’s quite hot!

If you say warm in English it means the temperature is quite high , but it’s not really hot. But British English speakers often use understatement, i.e. they say something which sounds less extreme than the real situation. If a British person say’s it’s still warm, it might actually be quite hot!
